On the fast track!

I am about 10 seconds from getting rid of the little ticker over to the left.  I check it often and now that we are less than 100 days to go, I am realizing how fast this time will truly go!  I am trying to write down all the little things that go on in a journal for Vivian so that one day, I can pull it out and let her know the joys and trials of getting her here with us.  Daily, I am in awe of this creation that we have been blessed to get to know so far.  When Artie does his "listening to the belly time", she now kicks when he talks to her.  The smile that comes over his face is pure joy.  I feel guilty for getting to have her with me all the time and feel her every move, that I sometimes get a little pushy and make him touch my belly anytime she gets really active.  I think Artie is happy to have me sport her around instead of him.

We have our guest room painted and furniture is moved over from the original guest room.  Thanks to my mom and sister, that got done during spring break.  The next thing to start is Vivi's room.  The top half will be a pale pink called "Southern Beauty" and the bottom will be white.  I will post pics when everything is finished.

The other thing we have done is took a breastfeeding class at Baylor in downtown Dallas.  I wasn't sure what to expect, but it was very informative.  I have been reading books to get some info before I have to attempt this and make it work...so the class just confirmed what I already had read.  It was really funny to see a huge class of HUGE women anywhere from 25 to 38 weeks along.  *Random happy - found out that the cafeteria at Baylor has a Chick Fil A...so gonna get some of that after the baby is born!*  All in all - I think that class is going to be 1000 % better than the birthing class.  Not sure I am ready for that one...but knowledge is power - so I need all the knowledge I can get.  Unlike the girl that was sitting next to me at the BF class...I asked her if they were taking the birthing class and her reply was, "I would rather not know what is coming.  I will just find out when I get here."  I could have died!  There is NO way I would or could do that.  So, 2 Sunday afternoon's in April, we will get to learn about the good, bad and the ugly truth!

Little girl on the move!

The last couple of weeks have brought forth an alien in my belly.  This child moves constantly and at 24 weeks can push those legs out enough to make my stomach move on its own.  For those of you that have had children, this isn't really news to you, but for someone who is new to all of this, I am truly in awe of Gods great creation.  Six PM would be her most active time at night.  This would be about the time I finally get to sit down and put my feet up for a bit.  I keep asking around to see if others had this with certain children that they have had.  They all just look at me and say..."Just wait until she gets here."  If she is that active now, I think we have our work cut out for us.   What cracks me up is there is actually a TV show that says "I was pregnant and I didn't know it!"  WHAT??  I would def. not be that person.  Big belly, moving maddness and the fact Vivian is doing drum rolls on my bladder and my 2nd home is the bathroom.  Just makes me laugh to think of those episodes I have seen.

I go to the dr. today for a glucose test about 9 or so.  I pray I pass.  I have been on "restriction" for so long that pregnancy is nice...I eat well, but also don't deprive myself.  I pray God will give me 3 more months of no restrictions and then I will be back to my old self :-)

Will update when I have any news :-)
