It just goes on and on my friend...so sorry! I have been out of sorts for a bit and just now getting my act together and getting all my pics of my cameras. I promise to be better this Fall....it has just been a little crazy to say the least.
Let's go back a bit...shall we.
"V" and I got to spend the summer together. We had a BLAST! The fact that she is 2 now is going to let you know how things are going now. Well...let's just say we don't ever worry about her being a typical 2 year old. Love her to death...but she is going to make me go completely gray SOON!
Tried to do some fun stuff with "V" in our time before I went back to school. She loves to help me cook. This is our attempt at pizzas.
We also got invited to several birthday parties. We tried to make them all and here are some pics before and during the parties.
Headed out to "C's" 2 year old party. He goes to church with us. His parents are the youth ministers.
Bryx turned 2 at the end of August. I work with his mom. "V" loved this party because it was at Jungle Jacks. It is the "Chuck e Cheese" of Ennis.
I won her a tiger.
She loved the games. She freaked out on the car one though...it moved and she was not ready for it AT ALL!
The last birthday of August was Artie's. He turned 44 this year. WOW! All "V" talked about for a week was making him a cake. Artie's favorite cake is lemon with cream cheese icing.
That is a LOT of candles.
I am just going to be honest with you. That was the HOTEST cake I have ever been beside. Sorry Artie. But there were too many candles. From now on...we will just write on it!
Happy Birthday Artie! You are such a goob, but I love you lots!
He said he had to wear his yellow shirt because he was happy!
BACK TO SCHOOL!
I am officially back in the swing of things at school. I have the BEST class this year. I have the sweetest children that we have had in years. No hitters, biters, whiners, or mean kiddos. I am BLESSED! Artie sent me these to make me smile. It happened!
Another first for me is I have my nephew at my school. He is in Pre-K down the hall from me. I love seeing him come in every morning and giving him a BIG kiss and saying "Have a WONDERFUL day." He just looks at me like I have lost my mind - LOL Too bad! I am going to do it for the next 2 years while he is at my school. He even stays with me after school every day. He has been really good and he loves to play computer in my room. FUN TIMES! Here are some snapshots I have been able to get while he is "working".
"V" before church.
Early morning stroll in the "strolly" (that is what "V" calls it)
"V" started CDO this past Tuesday. This is her second year to go and she seems to love it so much better than last year. She got to keep one of her old teachers and gain a new one. They both know me, so that make me very comfortable with her going. They love her lots!
This is at meet the teacher night. She found a vacuum and has not let it go since!
Up early and ready to go!
This is "V" outside CDO.
Old teacher Stefanie and new teacher Hali
"V" had fun painting at my mom's house after school!
To extend the day even more..."V" got her hair trimmed. I would have taken a pic of her getting her hair cut, but she freaked and would not sit on the chair at all. So, we settled for taking a pic with Sharon...our hairdresser. She has been cutting my hair since I was 14. Oh my! That is a long time! She got some candy, so she was good to go!
Potty training: We have begun some sort of potty training in our house. "V" loves to go potty and gets a little treat for going and telling me she has to go. She is so proud of herself. We are not all the way there yet, but we have some really good days and that makes me VERY HAPPY!!
Potty fun at Mi Mi's house.
My mom too "V" to the library today for story time. She was the only little one there. She read a story with the librarian. That is about the extent of her sitting still skills.
If you made it to the end...thank you! I hope you enjoyed our end of Summer post.
