The more we try to do things right, be prepared, and plan accordingly... the more God says, "Hey you two...who is in control of this thing anyway?" I went to the doctor Wednesday to see if all was going as planned to have the egg retrieval on Friday. Of course not. So they pushed me back to Saturday. So we shoot up to
Bedford (which is like an hour away from Red Oak) to get my blood test and
sono for the 15
th time this month. Not much change again. My estrogen levels are through the roof, but only one
follicle is big enough. So we go back on Friday. This time I am ready to hear good news. Sunday it will be. We were in great spirits. Head off to Costco to buy stuff we can really live without. My phone rings...the
drs office is calling. YIKES! I answer and "Lisa" is on the phone. Just to back track a little. I have already had a run in with one of the
IVF nurses about having a
sperm donor on reserve if things don't go well on Sunday. So back to the story. She starts in on the donor stuff again and I nearly had a breakdown in the middle of Costco. Artie is telling me to keep my voice down and I am HOT under the collar that they are bugging me about this again and while I am at Costco of all places. They want this to be
successful even if it means having someone
elses kid. I told her again to "stuff her donors in a sack and quit asking me about them". I am either having my husband's kids or we will adopt. They really don't get that. God is in control of this situation and if kids are in His plans, then they will find what they need to find and it will be all good. We are just not having a baby to just have a baby. "WE" want to have "OUR" babies. So needless to say, we were a little down after that. But it is nothing that some Bluebell can't fix. We are ready and nervous about Sunday. Please keep us in your prayer some more. We have 3 weeks before all of this is said and done.
