My birthday week!

Since this is my last week at home with "V", Artie decided to take off too so we could spend it together.  Little did I know it would be a week of surprises!  He always has something up his sleeve and this birthday was nothing short of spectacular.

Monday:  gift certificate to get my toes done!

Tuesday:  Versace Bright Crystal perfume

Wednesday:  A remote transmitter for my Nikon camera

Thursday:  A tripod for my camera

(super excited to use these to take family pictures!)

Friday:  He went and got my favorite lunch...beef fajita nachos!

Saturday:  We are spending the night at the Gaylord Texan in Grapevine. 

All of this to keep my mind off of going back to work on Monday.  I think he has done a great job of helping me forget what is to come. 

Thanks Artie!  I could not have asked for a better person to take care of me and to spend the rest of my life with.  I pray "V" finds a man who loves her as much as you do me!

"D day" is soon approaching!

It is one of those things that if you just don't talk about it, maybe it won't come true.  Unless there is some miracle that happens between now and Monday the 27th...I will be reutrning to work.  Don't get me wrong.  I love my job.  Always have.  I just want to be home not missing anything that this little bundle of joy does on a daily basis.

Since I have been out of work, I have spent several days at my parents house enjoying little "G".  He has started mother's day out, so it was fun for me and "V" to go and pick him up a couple of days.

Ok - this has to be the biggest carseat ever!  I love it!!  I researched and looked all over for the perfect carseat...if there is such a thing.  I could not find one thing wrong with the Britax Marathon.  This will be her "forever" seat (well, until she hits 70 lbs)  I just think she looks so little in this carseat...it makes me smile!

2 months...and fun Sat. photos

We are already 2 months old.  We "speak" constantly, eat great, and still sleep 7-8 hrs. a night.

Stats for 2 months

Went to the dr. this morning and Vivian has 12.5 lbs (85%), 23 1/2 inches long (88%) and her head was in the 70%.  She did well with her shots and is now sleeping ;-)  No more appointments until Nov!

We have a winner!

I have had so many people say that Vivi looks like my mom.  Well, I don't think we can deny it now.  She does have my blue eyes...but she favors her quite a bit.  So Jane, I guess you have yourself a mini-MiMi.
