Little girl on the move!

The last couple of weeks have brought forth an alien in my belly.  This child moves constantly and at 24 weeks can push those legs out enough to make my stomach move on its own.  For those of you that have had children, this isn't really news to you, but for someone who is new to all of this, I am truly in awe of Gods great creation.  Six PM would be her most active time at night.  This would be about the time I finally get to sit down and put my feet up for a bit.  I keep asking around to see if others had this with certain children that they have had.  They all just look at me and say..."Just wait until she gets here."  If she is that active now, I think we have our work cut out for us.   What cracks me up is there is actually a TV show that says "I was pregnant and I didn't know it!"  WHAT??  I would def. not be that person.  Big belly, moving maddness and the fact Vivian is doing drum rolls on my bladder and my 2nd home is the bathroom.  Just makes me laugh to think of those episodes I have seen. 

I go to the dr. today for a glucose test about 9 or so.  I pray I pass.  I have been on "restriction" for so long that pregnancy is nice...I eat well, but also don't deprive myself.  I pray God will give me 3 more months of no restrictions and then I will be back to my old self :-)

Just some pics from our day of snow!

We are having a girl! Vivian Jane is on her way!

The impossible has happened.  A Rypple is having a girl!  The last Rypple that had a girl was 3 generations ago.  We went this morning at 11:30AM to have our sonogram, get the baby measured, and hopefully find out what we were having.  We have definately heard more "It's a girl" than "It's a boy".  So going into this sono...we had no idea!  The sono tech was really sweet and had a great sense of humor.  She started poking around on my belly and blurted out..."It's a girl".  She then looked at me with huge eyes and said, "Oh my gosh...did you want to know?"  I just laughed.  I was busy checking out the screen while Artie and my mom were having a moment behind the sono tech (passing out hugs and kisses).  Artie was thrilled with the news and even teared up a bit.  She measured her and everything came out great!  She weighs 12 oz and is about 6 inches long.  We got to see her femur, parts of her brain, 4 chambered heart, and 2 little feet.  We have one pic of her profile.  She kept her hand in front of her face until the sono tech pushed on her a little and she got a little mad about that.  It was super sweet to see her be so active.  Feeling her move a bit, but nothing compared to seeing her move on the screen.  We met with the dr. in the afternoon and he said all is well.

Friday Drs. appt

Went to the see my dr. up at Big Baylor (for those that don't live around here - that is what we call Baylor Medical Center up in Dallas since Ennis had one back in the day also).  We got in pretty quick and were greeted by the dr. in a timely mannerr.  He said he was going to do a procedure and then listen to the babies heartbeat.  So being the good teacher, I got all prepared for the first thing he said.  The next thing I know, he is holding his hands up saying, "Whoa, whoa...someone is just a little to excited to do this procedure."  Of course, Artie pipes up with his comment of the day..."It seems like now days, she just sees a dr. and starts taking off her pants."  AKA - I have seen way too many fertility/OBGYN's in the past 14 years!  They got a good laugh and then it was back to business.  Procedure - done.  Now to the goods...the heartbeat.  There is always a holding of the breath until they find that beat of life.  He placed that little amplified stethoscope on my growing belly and there it was - clear as could be.  The number was 150 this time.  Good and healthy.  We will find out what the baby is on Feb. 2nd.  Hopefully it will cooperate and we will know for sure.

Monday appt. and wonderful news today!

First off, sorry Cathy for not updating yesterday after my appt.  Just a very long day, but thank you for being so concerned!  Love ya!

Well, our appt. with my regular OBGYN went well.  He is a sweet man and this was Artie's first time meeting him.  He enjoyed his knowledge and his bedside manner.  We got to see the baby again, but I hate to say it.  I have been horribly spoiled by the massive high tech sonos that my fertility dr. did for me.  I could hardly figure out the head from the butt on this sono.  I did see the spine and that was super cool.  All is well with the baby and so far it is measuring big...like I had a shot at a little baby. 

The best news ever came today from my dr.  NO MORE SHOTS!  My levels last visit were 14 and my fert.dr. wanted them a 15.  So, I was suppose to check my levels on Monday...Dr. Norwood wanted me at like 20 before he wanted me to stop taking the shots.  My level was 24!  I asked Artie if he slipped me a little more to make my numbers better, but he assured me he didn't.  I don't care how it happend.  All I know now is that my hips can stop hurting!
