Walking with help and Easter fun

Good Friday brought about some wonderful new things.  "V" has been pulling up for a while, but just decided to put it into action.  She is very cautious about where she tries to go and has had fun walking with the cute stroller she got from my parents for Christmas.

"V" got some Easter goodies this morning.

This dress was picked out and bought by daddy.  He liked it because it looked "country".  Mommy got the bow to match that stayed on for about 1/2 of church.  ;-)

35 South...family bound!

A little out of order...but that is how life is sometimes.  We 3 trucked down to Austin for "F"'s 5th birthday party.  Lacy and my mom took pics this year.  To check out those pics...look at my sister's blog "The Hobbs".  I was busy wranglin' up my kiddo the entire time.
Before we hit Austin, we stopped at Rudy's in Waco and had breakfast.  LOVE their breakfast!
"V" had fun and was all smiles.  She was just glad to be out of the van.

After we went to Austin, we headed to Bandera to my in-laws house.  The cousins came over and "V" had fun playing with them.
This is Ethan and V out on the porch.

Lazy Sunday afternoon...Eric was zonked!

Sweet E reading to V.

Don't know how it happened, but all the boys joined in and read to V before bedtime.

That next Monday, I had my 9 month appt. with Dr. Norwood.  He is the dr. that delivered "V".  I did not remember my camera at my last visit, so we just decided to all head up there this time so we could get a pic.

Little "G" turns 3 and Bluebonnets a plenty!

Three year ago today, we were waiting on Lacy to have her little bundle of joy.  His real b-day is on the18th, but today was his party.  They had a "SAFARI" for all the kids with games and food to match.
He had several of his little friends come to the party and they all seemed to have a great time.

"G" greeted all his guests and made sure they all got a safari hat and binoculars.

One of the fun games they played.  They put all the stuffed animals in the parachute and tried to make them fly off - too cute.

"V" chillin' on the floor and watching everyone walk around her.

After the b-day party and a good nap, "V" and I went to my parents home where they had a fajita cookout.
I decided to get the camera out and take bluebonnet pictures before they all started to seed out.  My mom's bluebonnets have faded quickly this year.  She had a HUGE crop, but they just didn't have enough rain to last a long time.  Here are some pics from the shoot.

9 months old

Well, "V" turned 9 months old on April 1, but we just now found her stickers for the photos.  Artie (bless his heart) went into her room to do a little "cleaning" and putting away.  Well, those got put away and were now just found.
Went to the dr. on the 7th  and we weigh 21 pounds 10 oz. (88%) She is 27.5 inches tall (short) (45%) and her head is 87%.  She just might be more like me than we thought.  Poor thing just might be short.
We have learned to crawl on hands and knees...no more army crawl.  Champion at eating meats.  "V" can blow kisses, give you a high five, and wave bye to you as you go.  She has NO stranger anxiety.  If you have something shiny on, she wants to be your best friend. She talks constantly and that first word was "Mamma" NOT "Dada".  She makes the craziest faces and her new way of greeting you is with a scowl.  She also does this whole "open mouth smile" that she gets from me.  So many of my pics were with a wide open mouth.  She really doesn't want to be held too much anymore, but would rather be down discovering her world.  When you call her name while she is crawling, she thinks that means she needs to HURRY UP and get away.  "V" is just a funny gal.  Her personality is very sweet, but MEGGA headstrong (wonder where she gets that?!?)  I would rather her be that way than passive.  She loves her cousins and is SOOOO excited to see them.  Having all boys as cousins is right her alley.  She is all about the attention.  Not many 9 month pics.  We are megga distracted and got a few smiles ;-)

I have found my bows!
