Baby Alert!

I got a call at 5:30AM this morning from my mom that Lacy was starting to go into labor. It is now 4:00 PM and she has already been to the hospital just to be sent home. She is having pains so it should be sometime in the next 24 hours (hopefully), but I am just a little bit anxious. Grant will be here soon - but I wish it was sooner than later. I know Lacy is feeling the same way!

Next blog should be some great pics of little Grant!

Fletcher turns 2!

Fletcher turned 2 on Friday. We went to his party in Austin Saturday. Both sets of grandparents were there as well as his favorite Aunt and Uncle (that would be me and Artie). Here are a few of pics from the bash!
Me and Artie chillin' at the b-day party!

CUTE!

Ok - how cute is he?!? We are hanging out on the back patio under his new umbrella and picnic table from MiMi and Paw Paw.

Fletcher and his little friend Drew check out the cool Sit and Spin that Aunt Laura and Uncle Artie got for him. Didn't know they still made them. I was excited to buy it!

OH MY!

I don't know how much more of this year I can take! School is getting really hectic. My day is split into two classes. My first is regular ed/special ed inclusion class where I co-teach with a special ed teacher. We have done this for the past 2 years and it really has worked out well. It just really changes the dynamics of the day I use to have for the first 7 years I taught. The group I have this year is just really...how should I say...different. The weather being bonkers doesn't help the situation out at all either. I think the year is winding down and so am I. I am working really hard to make sure all my little ones are prepared and ready, but for some it is like pulling teeth. I guess that is what is making me weary. Ok - enough complaining. I only have 2 more months! I can get excited about that.

Lovely Lola

Lola got her hair all shaved for the Spring. Here is a picture of her crazy ugly haircut. She usually has long hair on the side. But for now, it is all short and sassy - just like her!

Fun times with the friends!

Our Spring break was like a vacation back to high school. We started our week with cleaning and getting prepared for guests. We then went to San Antonio to see Artie's best friend from high school. We had fun catching up with him and his 3 children. We then hurried back home because my best friend from high school, Amy, flew in on Friday. We had a great time catching up on old times. She moved to California nearly 2 years ago, so I got to hear all about living out there and how much she loves it! We spent Easter with her family at her Aunt Eva's house in Emory. Who wouldn't have a great time with great food, old stories, and a million hugs?!?
Can't wait for my next vacation - SUMMER!

Spring Break!

It could have not come sooner! I was ready for some down time and finally getting some things done. Getting the house all clean is priority one! We are leaving tomorrow for San Antonio to see Artie's best friend from high school. He will be in for a day with his girls. Then we have to head back home because Amy - my best friend from high school - is flying in on Friday! So it has become like a reunion this week. I am excited!

The calm after the storm

Now that things have settled down, Artie and I are back to normal. Well, as normal as we can get I guess. Life is a gift and it is too short to ponder on the "what ifs", so we are back to living life to the fullest. Thank you for all of your comments and prayers. We appreciate them all and they have really helped us out.
