Rypple trip to Port Aransas

Artie and I are on vacation with his brother Eric and his 3 boys...if you read this blog - you know them by now :-)
These pics are out of order, but I just don't have the patience to put them in order...I am tired!

This is what Artie caught on out deep sea adventure...7 lb King Fish
These are all the fish that were caught - Artie didn't win the pot of money, but he did well. I got one good bite and started to reel it in...half way in it left the hook. Darn the luck!

This is his fish.

This is when he was trying to bring it in. You have to move to the back of the boat so they can get it easily for you. The only trouble is having to go through all the people fishing around you.

Boys, boys, and more boys!

The boys came to stay w/ us this past Monday. We have had a full week of fun things to keep us busy and the week is not over yet!
Mon - drove up from San Marcos w/ kids
Tue - Went to the Dallas Aquarium
Wed - went swimming / visit to the farm
Thurs - Off to see Ice Age movie
Friday - Dad is coming for the 4th
Sat - July 4th Party :)
Sunday - REST!!!
We have really enjoyed their company and their wonderful stories. They are all so different, but that is what makes them so great.
Caleb has spent the week checking my garden every 10 min, helping out around the yard, chasing rabbits, and just being an overall great help!
Ethan has had fun getting to play the Wii, helping me with my facebook Farm Town, and loving on my dogs constantly.
Aaron has had fun making forts w/ all my pillows in the HOUSE, loves my grill cheese, and gets crazy excited about the face that we have popcicles (even if they are sugar free).
Here are some pics from our trip to the aquarium.

Happy Father's Day / Fletcher Visits

The first part of Father's Day weekend was spent w/ Eric and my nephews. They made a scavenger hunt for him all around the house to find their cards that we made for him. He had a great time! We had a great steak dinner and swam with the kids afterwards. Just a fun weekend all around!

We spent acutal Father's Day at my families house. Fletcher was here to visit MiMi and Paw Paw for 3 days...so we got in on the action.

This is my dad w/ the grandkids...Artie got him this shirt...it says Frank the tank (what he was called in football back in the day)

Grant and Fletcher became pretty good friends this vacation. Fletch really doesn't understand why Grant is still a little rough and doesn't really know how to play yet. But that will coming soon enough.

Pool day w/ MiMi, Lacy and Grant.

Week in Boerne

I am spending the week in Boerne (NW of San Antonio) to help take care of Artie's brother's kiddos. I have had a wonderful time so far. I have been cookin', cleanin', and cuttin'. I spent last night cutting the oldest's (Caleb) hair. He got a good buzz. Baseball has also been a big part of our week. Caleb made the Boerne "All Star" team, so he has had practice all week and now games have started. We are going to Castroville tonight to see him play. Ethan and Caleb both have been at writing camp this week. Not so sure they love that...but it is good for them. Aaron and I have been shopping partners all week. He is my right hand man at the grocery store and Wal-Mart. He reminds me so much of Artie with his little stubborn spirit, but he is a hugger and a kisser - can't beat that!!

The day after I got out of school, Artie and I got up EARLY and we went down to the farm to celebrate by catching some fish. This was the biggest all morning

We went down to our farm between Ennis and Corsicana @ Cryer Creek.

Artie's 2nd Catch
