Day 7 - voting

I am very thankful for the right to vote...as an American and as a woman.  I may have not seen my vote work in my favor this time around...but I do think that God will take care of our country.  Not sure how it is going to work out...but I am not in control of that apparently!

Day 5 and 6 - Family

I can't say enough how thankful I am for my family...and extended family.  I know so many who have lost or are not close to their families for one reason or another.  We may not always agree on everything or even get along at times...but we are still family!  I love that we are adding to our family this December!  Two new girls...Reagan and Claire!
I am also so thankful for the extras in my life that are as close to me as family.  They have made my life so much more rich and they have now loved my daughter as their own and I love them even more for that.

Halloween 2012

We had a blast this Halloween!  "V" dressed up as Superwoman.  But if you asked her who she was...she would say "Super VIVI".  She got the whole candy thing down quick.
She would go up to people, get some candy, say THANK YOU, and then look at them and say "One more please".

"G" and "V" at the Trunk or Treat at my sister's church in Wax.

"J" the pirate came with us too!

Daddy and "V" eating popcorn.

SFA Homecoming

A couple of weekends ago, we all headed to Nacogdoches to go to my college homecoming.
"V" was ready to hit the road and was GREAT on the way there and back.

When we go tto the hotel, she kept saying, "Come on guys...lets go."  She meant lets go home.  She was not sure about staying at the hotel..

Saw this shirt and thought it looked about right!  LOL

We got up early Sat. morning and headed down to the parade.  "V" was not happy about taking a picture and "E" gave her the "What is wrong with you?" look.

All the YH little ones in front and big ones in back getting ready to see the parade.

The family of 3

"V" had a thing for Robert.  She wanted him to hold her several times.
Stroller fun
Sat. night singing.  She had to sit by Robin ;-)
We had a great time!  We love going back each year to see all our old friends.  I sure do wish so many more of our friends would try to come though.  I miss seeing all of them and would LOVE to meet their kids...Kara and Sara are the only ones that get a pass...they live STATES away!  But I miss you just the same ;-)

Day 3 and 4

Day 3 - my sweet kiddo

On Oct. 6, 2009,  I had the 3rd procedure to try to get pregnant.  After much prayer, I was finally expecting a child.  I could not wait to find out if it was a boy or girl.  Low and behold, it was a girl!  She has changed out lives in so many ways.  I love her more than anything on this earth and would do anything for her.  I am so glad she has a spunky spirit, but I would be lying if I said she doesn't wear me out most days. I wouldn't trade her for any other kid and I can't wait to see what her life has to offer her.

Day 4 - Health
I am thankful each day that I am as healthy as I am.  A little cold here, cough, cough there...but for the most part, I live a healthy life that keeps me going every day.  There are so many around me that have cancer or other things that make their life so hard.  I thank the Lord that I can live another day with out those horrible things in my life!

Day 2 - the hubs

I am very thankful for my partner in crime...Artie.  I am so glad I answered that e-mail 9 years ago.  I wasn't so sure about him at first, but there was something about him.  I knew he liked me and there was something about him that I needed to know more about.  We would sit and talk for hours about nothing at all.  I am so glad 9 years later we can still do the same.

He makes me laugh and is smart as a whip.  He is the best dad to our little rug rat and she adores him.  He is the cool and calm to my crazy when it come to parenting her.  Things have been stressful to say the least in our world lately and he has done everything possible to make sure we are provided for and protected at all times.  Words can't express how much he means to me.  I love him to the moon and back!

Day 1 of being thankful

I plan to spend the next 30 days focusing on all the things that I am thankful for.  I usually use this blog to post about our everyday life or events that "V" is involved in.  That won't change...just adding a little bit of my own thoughts and opinions in here as well.

Day 1 - I am most thankful for my relationship with God.  His grace is amazing and I am not worth of it at all.  Knowing what He up gave for me to live my life and to be able to have free will and choose to follow Him is far greater than my mind works.  I am thankful that He loved me enough to bless me daily with the great life that I have.  I am by no means perfect or even make great decisions sometimes.  But, I know that being a christian means that I have God with me at all times - good and bad - and I seek to be like Him daily.  I fall short A LOT...but I am thankful I get the chance to try and do whenever and wherever I choose!
