Best news ever!

Got a phone call at about 5PM today that my dr. made it possible for me to be induced tomorrow morning at 8AM.  We are super excited.  We thought we would have a June baby, but the Lord is giving us a July Firecracker instead!  Keep us in your prayers and will get pics on here as soon as we can!

Wed. appt

Since my dr. is out for the week, I saw his associate Dr. McCants.  She was very nice and was very comfortable with her.  She checked me and I was 2 cm.  She said the contractions that I have been having are just getting me ready!  I am totally ok with that.  If I don't go into labor by Monday, I will get to see my dr. then.  We will then start talking induction.  Hopefully not...but we will just have to wait and see what happens.  I know all this waiting is building up to something great.  I am just ready to meet this vivacious little girl.

What a busy week so far.  Monday was my appt with my OB and he said things are progressing.  I am 1 cm dilated and 75% effaced.  So, now comes the fun part.  Trying to figure out every hurt or pain to see if it will turn into a contraction or not.  Spent yesterday in Ennis getting my hair cut, got a pedicure, and spent at least a couple of hours walking around Wal-Mart trying to get this baby to walk out.  I started thinking that I don't have a second hand on any of our clocks and all my watches have bad batteries.  So, while at Wal--Mart, I decided to get those changed out.  The lady behind the counter gave me the tool to get the back off since I did not buy the watch there.  I nearly stabbed myself a couple of times while she is asking me when the baby is coming.  I told her, "Well, it could come anytime now."  She screamed an "OH LORDY" type of scream and grabbed that tool out of my hand along with my watch and told me not to stab myself because it could put me into labor and we did not need a Wal-Mart baby today.  Then she asked where I was having the baby and I told her Baylor Dallas.  Yet another scream came out of her saying, "Do you know how long it takes to get there from here?  I don't know if you are gonna make it!"  She was too funny getting all concerned.  Needless to say, nothing ended up happening yesterday.

But over the past couple of days, my couisn Catherine in California and college friends...Melissa and Brian Loftin all had their first babies and they are all GIRLS!  Here are the cute new ladies in their life!

37 Week appt

An early 8:30AM appt. brought good news.  Nothing has changed and Vivian is still growing on schedule.  Blood pressure is still fine and no signs of having her any time yet.  But in speaking w/ my mom, she didn't show signs before she went into labor as well.  So, now that school is out, we will just wait and see.  Bags are packed and things are washed and ready.  My dr. said he is going to be out of town for a couple of days in June (which kind of freaks me out).  Having another guy deliver this baby is like having a bad first date.  You become so use to one guy,,,you hate to have someone else butt in your current relationship.  Oh well, I hope by that time, I don't care who is there!  Just as long as she is here and healthy!

drs appt yesterday

Had my 34 week check up yesterday.  All is going well and everything seems to be ok.  My blood pressure is fine and I am measuring 34 - so on target. 
School is becoming more taxing, but luckly I have a partner teacher that teaches 1/2 the week and I do the other half.  So Wed. and Thurs.'s are my resting days.  Only 2 1/2 more weeks left and then I get to rest a bit at home. 
Only 39 more days for Miss Vivian...praying she doesn't come too early!  She still needs more time to cook!

May 3rd appt.

Went to the dr. on May 3rd and nothing much has changed except for the fact that I go every 2 weeks now.  I measured 33 and I will be 33 weeks on Sat.  So on target!  Her hp was 150 again,  so I tried to confirm again that she is a girl and he said it sounds like a girl to me.  The night before I had a dream that we had a boy and everyone was SOOOO excited and I was crying my eyes out.  Dr. Norwood said he hears about those dreams all the time.  My swelling has gotten worse, but it depends on the day and how much I am on on my feet teaching.  My major annoyance is carpal tunnel.  I hate that my hands are numb all the time. Oh well, I will just deal and move on.  So, all is well and I head back to the dr. the 17th.
