At one year old, you love to sing, jabber to everyone and let your opinion be heard. You hate anything being put in your hair and as soon as it is put in, you rip it out! You are a great eater and try pretty much anything. You love feeding yourself and to be left alone to eat in peace. You are drinking whole milk now and no formula. You did not have a hard transition to this at all. You have mastered the sippy cup and think it is funny to take a drink and say "Ahhhhh" after. (mommy showed you how to do that) You love it when your daddy comes home. You hear that door open and you start saying "Da Da Da" until you see him. Then you try to tear anything up in your way to get to him. You give kisses on command now. You also slap momma (no on command!) when you don't get your way. Why that only seems to be momma getting the slaps...I will never know. You have started making this very mean looking face when we either tell you "no" or you get super frustrated. You get that from your daddy. You still go to everyone and love seeing new people. You have stayed in the nursery at church a couple of times and have loved it. They love you at church and think you are just the sweetest thing ever. Singing is one of your favorite things to do. If I can put it to a song, you will sit and listen for a very long time. You love to watch "Jack's big music show". You don't watch a lot of TV, but every so often, we let you watch that show because it is all about music. You are not walking yet, but try very hard. You just know you can get places so much faster by crawling. You had your first babysitter and you did great. You just played and had a fun time. Going out to eat with you is not too hard these days. Since you love to eat different stuff, you like to eat off our plates. You are going to sleep really well these days. Your morning nap is starting to fade out, but you still sleep through the night unless one of those crazy teeth are bothering you. You are cutting some back teeth...but nothing has come out yet.
We are having your b-day party on Sat. I can't wait to see you eat cake. We have never let you have sweets yet, so it will be fun to see you LOVE it. There is no doubt you will tear into it like it is the most wonderful thing ever. You are kin to us...how could you not love cake!
Our little photo session went ok. She tried to bolt on me several times, so I pulled out the stool and she thought that was wonderful!
